Senior Sales Manager – North America Account Management/Optimization

Job Description: 

  • Overall leadership of Distribution Account Management team; includes recruiting, retaining and coaching while assisting in the management of relationships to improve Partner performance on HomeAway’s network of sites.
  • Key contributor to the broader North American Sales Management team and internal partners in regards to strategy, improving sales performance and process and soliciting feedback for product improvement.
  • Demonstrate business acumen, strong knowledge of products, ecommerce sales funnel, monetization and optimization, sales process improvement and a solution based approach to challenging problems.
  • Forecast business projections based on documented pipeline, opportunity and trends.
  • Create and manage pipeline and territory coverage plan. Analyze opportunities and trends to set quotas.
  • Develop and sustain key partner relationships by providing relevant data insights and consulting services to Partners (revenue management advice, marketing opportunities within HomeAway’s network)
  • Work with Account Managers to ensure that their Partner content (content, rates and availability) is consistently optimized and competitive to maximize customer conversion

Required skills:

  • 7+ years of inside/outside individual contributor sales experience (business to business sales required).
  • Experience managing Sales or Account Management teams with eCommerce products.
  • Analytical and experienced with managing business forecasts and budgets.
  • Organized, data-driven and goal oriented believer in building great sales systems and processes.
  • Documented strategic or process improvement strengths. You have perspective and can see and discuss multiple aspects and impacts of issues and project them into the future, recognize what can/should be done now to affect future performance, and see and understand the challenges between the current and the ideal situation.
  • Detailed knowledge of Salesforce.com & Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Demonstrated success working cross-functionally in matrixed organizations with the ability to forge strong bonds and work collaboratively with key partners
  • Bachelor’s Degree

Culture
The HomeAway World Headquarters is located in downtown Austin, Texas. Employees love the proximity to restaurants, bars and retail — especially to the unofficial company cafeteria, the Whole Foods Market flagship store. The office space is also situated off of Lady Bird Lake, which has a fantastic hike and bike trail. HomeAway's four-story, 86,000-square-foot, mixed-use building was awarded Gold-level LEED certification in April 2010 for its use of eco-friendly materials. The design is vacation-themed and features a giant replica of the birdhouse from the HomeAway logo.
