The Opportunity:

An exciting opportunity has arisen at HomeAway for a Sr Analyst, Growth Marketing (Emerging Channels) to join our Growth organization. This is a global role, reporting to the Sr Manager, Growth Marketing (Emerging Channels), with a focus on supporting and operationalizing “emerging” growth channels for HomeAway. Opportunities qualifying as emerging channels can be a new publisher (example Apple Search Ads), a new medium (e.g. Chat bot on messaging apps), or a radically new way to use an existing medium (e.g. Google Hotel Ads)Working in partnership with other Growth Marketing team members (Channel specialists, Data specialists, Technology specialists, etc.), the Sr Analyst, Growth Marketing (Emerging Channels) will be required to support and enable “quick & dirty” solutions to set up a new channel and provide and/or advise on pathways for new channels with proven potential to be operationalized in a scalable way.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

-Providing technical and analytical support for emerging channels tests

-Working with the tech & data teams to set up initial measurement capabilities for any new channel, ensuring we can quickly estimate its potential

-Scaling new channels into a steady state, documenting initial best practices, and training specialists to look after the new channel for those with validated potential

-Owning the development, execution, and budget of a subset of emerging channels tests 

Candidate Profile:

To be successful you will bring the following qualifications:

-A minimum of 5 years of experience in online marketing, actively analyzing different channels and finding actionable insights.

-Knowledge of tracking technologies and ability to identify what can/should/must be tracked to evaluate initial performance as quickly and accurately as possible

-Analytical and numerical aptitude: ability to work with large but flawed and incomplete data and derive the best possible decisions from it

-Ability to self-prioritize workflow based on highest impact activities

-Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate performance metrics, technical challenges and business opportunities to key stakeholders

-A collaborative approach and eagerness to interact with cross-functional teams including experts in engineering, marketing and product

-BA or BSc degree level qualifications, ideally with an analytical major

-Fluent English, other languages a plus

Culture
The HomeAway World Headquarters is located in downtown Austin, Texas. Employees love the proximity to restaurants, bars and retail — especially to the unofficial company cafeteria, the Whole Foods Market flagship store. The office space is also situated off of Lady Bird Lake, which has a fantastic hike and bike trail. HomeAway's four-story, 86,000-square-foot, mixed-use building was awarded Gold-level LEED certification in April 2010 for its use of eco-friendly materials. The design is vacation-themed and features a giant replica of the birdhouse from the HomeAway logo.
