About the Role:
We are looking for an Online Merchandiser to join our RetailMeNot Merchandising Team. RetailMeNot Merchandisers have access to a wide landscape of Retail Promotional Strategies and Retail Industry Insights at your fingertips. RMN Merchandisers are deal-savvy, performance-focused, numbers gurus who understand and drive extraordinary customer experience through content. In this role, you will meet the business objectives of RMN and retail partners by providing perceptive consumer and promotional insights through curating, editing, and optimizing offers to drive value for their strategic retailer relationships. You know their categories, the RMN consumer, and the levers for converting casual browsers to RMN consumers. We want creative, key collaborators with cross-functional partners as they execute on inbound promotions and identify new opportunities for their retail partners. This position is with a highly productive, dynamic digital publishing company operating with e-commerce, omnichannel, and brick and mortar retail partners.
 

What you'll do:

  • Handle a portfolio of retailers' content by monitoring critical metrics and performing analysis and content recommendations to RMN teams
  • Collaborate with the Retail & Brand Solutions team to execute on merchant opportunities and to provide insights to secure new opportunities
  • Optimize promotional content on Merchant Pages by aggregating, updating, editing, validating, and ranking content for great customer experience and retailer performance
  • Evaluate competitive landscape by performing competitor promotion content quality reviews
  • Perform A/B tests to quantify and support merchandising decisions
  • Recommend content for marketing channels, distribution channels, and product initiatives
  • Develop category knowledge and an understanding of the online couponing, shopping and retail spaces
  • Collaborate cross-functionally by leading special projects to support internal initiatives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 2-4 years of online merchandising, or marketing experience with category, vertical, or industry focus a plus; retail buying or planning experience considered with some e-commerce experience required
  • Ability to communicate a consumer benefit through succinct writing and editing
  • Solid analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Results-focused, can work quickly and efficiently meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment, while maintaining high quality standards to meet team and/or individual goals
  • Adaptable to change
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience in Salesforce and/or Tableau a plus
  • Can spot a good deal from 50 feet away and loves saving money for yourself and others!
